Bergan Stack-n-Stor 100 Food Storage and Dispenser (Colors Vary) Review

Bergan Stack-n-Stor 100 Food Storage and Dispenser (Colors Vary)
Average Reviews:

Looking for a way to save space in my feed room these seemed like the perfect solution. I had some reservations but after reading other reviews I purchased two storage units. I use them for 50 pound bags of horse feed and I defy someone to get 100 pounds in one. It is difficult to empty the feed bag into the front of the storage unit as you have to keep pushing the feed toward the back to make room for the rest of the bag. I don't find them particularly rugged either as the bottom one has collapsed a little on one corner after only a couple of months use. I appreciate their space saving feature but probably would not purchase another.

Durapet Square Dog Bowl Review

Durapet Square Dog Bowl
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Purchased 3 of these to replace ceramic bowls our 3 goldens have been using. It's hard to tell from the photo on the product web page, but, these bowls have an angled top in which one side is much higher then the other opposite side of bowl. This design is probably to prevent your pet from pushing food to the back of bowl (low side faces them when eating) and over the top of back, but, at about 3 quarts capacity, the food doesn't come up that far on these anyway to cause this problem or be any concern. Due to the design of these, they have limited to no benefit as a water bowl since they can't hold a high level of water. We returned them unfortunately. 5 star rating for a very solid, heavy SS construction and they will last a very long time, but, 3 stars for impractical and the un-necessary way they are designed. Average rating = 4 stars.

Primal Dry Roasted Chicken Shredders Review

Primal Dry Roasted Chicken Shredders

These must be really delicious because my 11 month old puppy goes crazy for them. More than once, I left a piece in my jacket pocket by accident and found my dog chewing the pocket to get to them. They seem natural - the only ingredient listed is "Chicken Breast".
I use them for training and they are very effective. I only wish they were sliced a bit thinner before they were roasted because they are really difficult to break up into smaller pieces.
The first bag was a gift from a friend, but we will get them again.

Ethical Pet Products Stainless Steel No Tip Mirror Dish 16 Ounces -- 1 Dish Review

Ethical Pet Products Stainless Steel No Tip Mirror Dish 16 Ounces -- 1 Dish
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This bowl is indeed a non-spill. My yellow Labrador retriever had taken to carrying his old bowl around, Snoopy style. When I'd first fill it, he'd look at it, eat a mouthful or less, then intentionally tip it over and carry the bowl around for a while, spreading food far and wide in the process. It was funny the first 3 times.
So I bought this bowl. End of that problem!
It only took him about a week to tear off the rubber ring around the base. The rubber is there primarily to keep the bowl from flying around the eating area reminiscent of a food-filled hockey puck. Conveniently, that's not a problem I have with my dog, so I can deal without the rubber ring. If your dog plays hockey with his bowl, you'll want to keep looking. But if you're just trying to prevent easy tipping over, this bowl is perfect.
I definitely prefer metal bowls for my dog. They are so much easier to clean. So for me, this bowl is nearly perfect. Now, if I could just find one similar to my old ones, with rubber glued onto the bottom, but in this shape so he can't tip it over.

Loving Pets Silver Bullet No-Tip Dish Cat/Dog Bowl Review

Loving Pets Silver Bullet No-Tip Dish Cat/Dog Bowl
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The bowl is nice, right size, but one of the most important features is horrible. The rubber ring that goes around the base of the bowl (to keep it from sliding around on the floor) has a gawd awful smell that I can't get rid of. It has such a strong rubber smell (like an old tire) that my dog won't eat or drink from the bowl. I have to remove the rubber ring in order for my dog to even go near the bowl. I've tried washing the ring with all kinds of soap and detergent, but the smell hasn't decreased a bit. Without the ring, this bowl is mostly useless because my dog noses it around on the floor. This isn't worth the cheap price. I'd spend more to get a bowl with rubber that doesn't stink up the room.

We bought dog treats directly from Smokehouse in the past and I recalled they made a point that their products are made in USA. So I was rather disappointed to read on the label these are a product of China.
Our dog likes them but with all the news about melamine in animal food in China, I will not buy these again.

Merrick California Roll Cat Food 5.5 oz (24 Count Case) Review

Merrick California Roll Cat Food 5.5 oz (24 Count Case)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have one cat who is really not into canned food at all - unusual, I know. But, I put down a can of Merrick's 'California Roll' and she totally ignored the dry food that I had mixed with her favorite treat, Kitty Kaviar (fish flakes) and dove into the canned. I think she ate close to the entire can by herself, in fact, purring like crazy the entire time!
If you have a picky eater, try this food. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! Oh, and this really doesn't smell (icky) like your typical canned cat food, either.

PetAlive UTI-Free for Pet Bladder and Urinary Tract Health (20g) Review

PetAlive UTI-Free for Pet Bladder and Urinary Tract Health (20g)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bought this product after doing research on the internet for UTI in male cats. My cat Mickey got sick and after spending four days in the hospital and much money later he came home still feeling uncomfortable and with a 15% chance of getting re-infected. So I bought this product, followed instructions, and within 24 hours, no more discomfort. Now I give him a small amount every other day. It's a little challenging to give since the product is little tiny white granules. But I put a little on a small spoon, wrestle Mickey and pop open his mouth, pour in the granules. They melt right away and have no taste. He's used to taking it now. I recommend this very much. I also recommend a little, very small amount of Concentrated Cranberry Juice mixed into there wet food. You can buy it at healthfood stores. Just alittle for a couple of days helps clear it up too. Just like in people. But like everything before you act, do your homework first, consult your vet just incase.

Drinkwell with 50 Oz Reservoir Review

Drinkwell with 50 Oz Reservoir
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First of all, I know that on the other versions of the fountain (with or without this extra reservoir) there were reviews stating that the fountain was noisy or that their cats would not drink from it. This was not my experience, the fountain runs pretty quietly you just need to make sure there is enough water in the bowl (enough to cover the little hole at the base of the bowl where filtration gets cycled through.)
You will need to give your pets time to adjust. My two kittens are 6 months old and they have always drank from a bowl. When I first hooked up the fountain they stuck their paws in and played a little, but mostly looked at it nervously for a couple days. I left their regular bowl next to it and noticed after a few days one cat started to prefer the fountain. After a week I took the regular bowl away at meal time and my other cat started to drink from the fountain. I think most cats will need a gradual change to this, don't expect them to like it overnight.
The bowl itself holds more water than both my cats need for 2 or 3 days. Getting a reservoir attachment wasn't needed, but I got one just so I could always feel secure they'd have plenty of water if something happened and I was away from home. This may be different with dogs, as I think they drink way more water.
***
The 50 oz. reservoir container was INSTANTLY KNOCKED OVER by my curious kitten. I had even tucked it by the wall in a position LESS likely to be knocked over... but this is designed so poorly that if your pet likes to jump over it or put their paw up on it, bam... falls over and empties a ton of water all over the floor! (Yes it was "secured" by the little plastic "latch" piece on the back, but it's very flimsy. Plus, there is no way to flip the reservoir over after you fill it without spilling at least a little bit of water.)
So, now I use the fountain by itself. I add a cup of water directly to the bowl at feeding time every day. It stays pretty clean, way cleaner than the old bowl, so I give it a good scrub about once a week. (Compared to the old bowl which was dirty daily.)
Unless you have a dog or need to be away from the house for more than a couple days, I'd just get the fountain without the reservoir container. Drinkwell Pet Fountain

Petmate Deluxe Fresh Flow Pet Fountain Review

Petmate Deluxe Fresh Flow Pet Fountain
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My 4 cats love this fountain and they drink a lot more water now. Depending upon how you have the flow lever adjusted, the water stream can either be silent or a gentle trickle noise.
I have had 3 of these fountains in 3 years. The only problem I have had is with the pump. Like any water pump, the water level must be above the pump so the pump will not be damaged. I burnt out the first pump this way (shame on me). The second pump became severely clogged and stopped when one cat vomited grass into the dish while I was away (naughty kitty). The third pump dying is a mystery to me. It wasn't even a year old. Unfortunately, I just returned it today before reading one reviewer's directions on taking the pump apart for cleaning.
Even with the pump issue, I'll buy this product again. The cats love it, it is easy to clean, and fresh water is good for my cats' health. By the way, I can't imagine how some people are getting algae, etc., with this system. Basic cleaning is required of any food or water dish. The only part of this unit that cannot be cleaned with a sponge is a narrow plastic funnel that brings the water up to the fountain head. A Q-Tip works great for cleaning that.

Virbac Pet-Tabs Plus for Dogs Review

Virbac Pet-Tabs Plus for Dogs
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I started giving these to my precious doggie about 5 months ago along with brewers yeast/garlic tabs. I noticed 2 things. #1- where did the fleas go? ok, maybe it was the garlic tabs. #2- where is the February shed? By this time his hair becomes my carpet, but I can actually see my carpet. His shedding has becomed a self sustained wonder. I never knew this was the normal way a dog sheds. His coat is changing color and density and I am seeing extremely limited, almost none, hair on the carpets. I do have to admit I am using both pills, in conjunction, so i can't say its this one or the other by itself. I do have a feeling the pet tabs are controlling the shed situation, but the combo is extremely potent. If you do buy these it might be a good idea to get the brewers yeast/garlic tabs as well. 5 stars for this wonderful product and the fact that they made it with a flavor that my dog can't resist.

Catit Fresh & Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats and Puppies Review

Catit Fresh and Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats and Puppies
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had two of these now for a year. I purchased them despite the flurry of postings saying the pumps failed. I disected the pump on the #2 unit when it quit and have a solution for this issue. The pump is a Permanent magnet rotor with AC stator, so the only two things that can kill the pump is a broken winding (very unlikely as the assembly is potted) and the rotor/impellor binding up. The failures are likely due to salt build up as was the case with mine. Carefully prying the rotor\impellor out after unsnapping the covers they were soaked in distilled (aka "White") vinegar, a grocery store item. Soaked for 2 hours and then resaaembled after rinsing. Works fine! Now with the #1 unit I tried a different approach. I got a 6" deep container and stuck the pump in the bottom and filled the container 4" deep with the vinegar and plugged it in. Let it run for an hour. Pump came out sparkling clean! If the pump is siezed, one will have to pull the impellor assembly out and do the soak routine.

NON-SPILL WATER BOWL Review

NON-SPILL WATER BOWL
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My pointer loves water and wants a lot of it. I found it difficult trying to get a water bowl which would not tip over and have water all over the car.
The Waterhole Dish works for me. I have an area in the back of the car which has an plastic lip for holding groceries. I fill the entire area with pet cushions and rugs etc to make my dog comfortable on long trips. And I am able to wedge this bowl against the corner of the grocery lip with rugs around the bottom. It stays put and my dog has plenty of water. It is easy to fill without taking the top off. I carry a gallon jug of water with me in the back seat and replenish it when the dog needs additional water on the trip.
I love it because the water stays where it is supposed to be..in the dish and is readily available for my dog. I have put it in the top part of the dishwasher and have had no problems. I would not recommend putting it into the bottom section because the dish itself feels like a combination of plastic/rubber and it might change shape. It cleans easily and the top is easy to get on and off. And it snaps shut quickly (even if you are holding the dog with one hand and trying to snap it on with the other) and the top does not slip off. My dog has not been able to get the lid off..so the water stays put and is able to be easily accessed by him.
If your puppy has long ears, they don't flop in the water. I do not have a cat now but I imagine that it would be equally good for cats as well.
I would recommend it highly; but remember it is not weighted so in traveling it needs to be wedged against something in the back of the car, so as not to slide around. Once wedged it works perfectly for travel.
It would be a great container for food as well and is really both a water and feed container. Though I use it for car travel, it can easily be used for home, RV, boat or SUV travel and as both a feeder and a water container.
I have found it to be an excellent product and have been using the same bowl for two years now; with no problems.

Petmate Stainless Style Pet Bowl Review

Petmate Stainless Style Pet Bowl
Average Reviews:

I bought this bowl for my cat. Initially I was very nervous as I had read a couple of other reviews saying that it was too big for cats, but honestly there aren't a lot of choices on Amazon for this style of pet bowl, so I picked it up anyway.

I got it in the mail yesterday and all my worries were put to rest. Unless you have a teeny, tiny cat, this bowl is just the right size. It holds a good serving of food without threatening to overflow. It also looks very clean and streamlined, unlike my previous pottery-style bowls which tended to look very clunky and silly.
The functionality of the non-skid on the bottom is just a delight. I put it down on the linoleum and was very gratified to hear and feel it thump straight down without sliding at all. The cat ate voraciously out of it last night and it didn't move an inch.
A great bowl at a great price. Highly recommended.
*important note: If you have linoleum, put down a mat under this bowl as it will dye the floor beneath it yellow over time.

For some strange reason this did not keep the bugs out for very long. After about 2 weeks I saw roaches and ants climbing in and out of the bowl. I checked the surrounding area around the bowl to be sure there wasn't any debris aiding their journey . Washed the bowl carefully to remove any particles they may be clinging to. Nothing has worked. I bought a different brand called Fool A Bug and it works great and looks the same as the Anti Ant. Its a mystery to me. Other than that it is a fairly nice looking bowl!

He loves it! I trust Royal Canin and know that I am giving him what he needs and I can see him growing and thriving with it! His has also helped his bowels (which were quite frequent and loose from Eukenuba) and the tear stains are not as bad. (Maybe a switch to spring water will help those).
I love Royal Canin and will use the bulldog formula when he is an adult!
