Great product for training dogs! I use them all the time for training (walking on a lead, sitting, fetching). They are high in flavor so even with our 7 month Golden Retriever, treats cut in half work well for a reward. Unlike dog kibble or other treats, these are quickly digested so that your dog will not be gagging on them as he/she works on the next behavior. To keep fresh, keep bag tightly closed and put a portion of the cut treats in a resealable sandwich bag. If they do get exposed to air and dry out, a small portion of a moistened paper towel in the bag will restore them to original texture.

(More customer reviews)A dog trainer recommended Solid Gold Beef Jerky to me. I can only find it online. I have two dogs--a maltese and a golden retriever. It's great for training or just giving your dog a yummy treat. You can easily break them into smaller pieces for small dogs or just give the full size to a larger dog. Both my dogs go nuts when I take these out. The golden actually drools in anticipation for how tasty they are. They'll both choose this over anything else. It's a little pricey--so I try to use sparingly.

(More customer reviews)Although these are the same calorie count as a regular MilkBone, they can be broken up into 4 individual treats. My large dogs find the invidual snaps incredibly tasty. At first my dog tated it, spit it out, then tasted it and spit it out again. But soon thereafter she would quickly run to her "biscuit spot" and happily munch away. I like the fact that they have added ingredients to help with joint issues. Although the individual snaps are small in size, they are crunchy enough that the dog thinks it is getting a full size bone, I don't know how Canidae does it.
I just ordered a 4lb box.

(More customer reviews)It may sound crazy but from time to time I do taste what I feed my dogs especially when they are made with all natural ingredients.(no I don't taste test can food or their normal dry food) You can actually taste the blueberries. I always wonder if a pet product says it tastes like peanut butter or filet mignon, or jerky, does it? etc. I certainly wouldn't want to do more than my taste experiment but I think my dogs are getting what you pay for and they like them(my dogs love everything). Also I feel the price is reasonable and you can split the treats in half which makes the box stretch. I have found that even big dogs don't care about the size of the treat as long as they get one.

(More customer reviews)My Mommy let me write my own review about Zuke's Natural Purrz. It's absolutely purr-fect! Mommy found Natural Purrz at her local co-op. When I smelled the bag, I got excited! When she popped one into my mouth, I wuz in love!
At the moment, the co-op is out of stock, which is why Mommy checked to see if Amazon had them. She says it's available thru a reseller but the shipping costs are a lot. But she's going to have to do SOMETHING because I miss my Purrz. No cat should be without them!

(More customer reviews)When I brought the bones into the room, two little noses started twitching and smelling the air. I presented the packaging to Piper who sniffed in intensely. Allowing for some anticipation Evie and Piper were given their Zuke's Dental Chew Bones; the bones got a quick exam from the girls and then were abandoned. A few minutes later they rediscovered the bones, started chewing, and didn't stop for an hour. I took them away when both were half eaten (more about that later), reintroduced them the next evening, and after another hour of enthusiastic, joyful munching, only a little knob of one bone remained. Based on this one experience, Zuke's seems to be a big hit with the girls. In fact, during the second munch fest two Bimples bought by Mrs. Spudman at the pet store were introduced. The Bimples played second fiddle to the Zuke's bones and were barely touched.
And Last
Our entire household, pooches and humans, think very highly of the Zuke's Z-Ridge Dental bones. They're much harder than the Pedigree dental sticks we've tried, and I like the Zuke's ingredients.
Bella, the other shih tzu in our household, was presented a Z-Ridge Fresh Breath Formula bone and showed no interest in it. The bone won't go to waste. She does enjoy the fresh breath with carrot formula, however.
Z-Ridge is not recommended for puppies under 6 months of age or dogs weighing less than five pounds. Dogs should have access to fresh water while dining.
The recommended daily intake for dogs ranging from 5 to 30 pounds is half a bone. This is why I took the bones away from Evie and Piper when the bones were half eaten. So as not to disappoint, next time I'll first cut the bone in half so it can be chewed to oblivion in one session. The halving may require a saw, or scoring with a sharp knife before snapping in half barehanded.

Real Meat Fish & Venison Jerky Dog Treats Review

Owners beware: you will have to wash your hands after giving them as they are STINKY (the fish and venison flavor especially), and your dogs' breath won't be too pleasant for a while afterward.
