In addition to a pleasant smell, this cat food also has other vegetable and fruit ingredients-- now do cats normally eat these tidbits?? Well... since I HAVE been able to slip my cats some well-cooked broccoli mixed into their canned food, and also judging by what I've seen my cats pull from the kitchen garbage pail -- banana peels, tomatoes, cantelope -- perhaps Harmony Farms is onto something here -- and besides, they are not the only pet food makers who include such things as cranberries and other fruit/veggies in their food.
No articificial colors or flavoring -- my cats dive into the food dish, and it makes me happy that they are getting quaity food, even if I have to spend a little extra.

(More customer reviews)I have 2 very picky eater cats (2.5 y/o). Tried few different healthy dry foods, and this seemed to be their favorite - dove right into the bag, the second we opened it (never happened before, with any other food).
A lot of times they choose it over the canned food - which they love! We also noticed that their coat got very glossy and silky. We get a lot of compliments :) Thanks Wilderness!

Breeder's Choice Pinnacle Peak Protein Chicken & Ocean Fish Formula Dry Cat Food Review

(More customer reviews)I used to feed both of my cats a different brand name cat food that was supposed to be for those kitties with sensitive tummies, and it was okay, but this Pinnacle cat food has the other brand beat hands down.
We have been feeding our cats this food for about a year now and we have been having a lot fewer instances of upset tummies compared to the incidents we were having prior to switching over to this brand of cat food.
Both of our cats love it even though only one of them has a sensitive tummy issue. Initially, it took a couple of weeks of mixing the old cat food with the new Pinnacle cat food and then slowly eliminated the old cat food until they were just eating the new Pinnacle cat food. Now my cat will stick his head in the bowl and eat a hole to the bottom before working his way around the edges of the bowl. Quite funny to watch actually! Ha Ha Ha
My other cat is a strange one indeed, he will get a mouthful of food and then walk a couple of steps away from the bowl, drop the food onto the ground and the proceed to eat it from the ground. Not quite sure what is going on with that.
Anyhow, I would highly recommend this brand of cat food for your kitty if he or she has a sensitive tummy. And don't worry about the price; it is an investment in the health of your furry four-legged children, as all of us good parents know. And if you haven't already purchased one of these for your kitty Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain, be sure and do so, it is the absolute best cat water fountain on the market at this time.

(More customer reviews)Approximately 20 years ago, I began to exclusively feed our cats Iams or Science Diet. Those brands were recommended by our Veterinarian after our first cat showed signs of Feline Urinary Syndrome (FUS). I had previously fed the cats the typical brands such as 9 Lives, Purina and Friskies.
I continued with IAMS and Science Diet, because the other brands caused FUS, caused other digestive problems and the good reputation of IAMS and Science Diet.
Then last year, one of our cats developed bladder disease and died.
Not long afterward, the pet food scandal broke. Cat and dog food from nearly every pet food company, including premium foods like IAMS and Science, were tainted by melamine. More than 150 brands of cat and dog food were recalled. IAMS and Science Diet were two of the recalled brands, as was natural sounding brands such as Nutro.
I vowed to never again purchase pet food from the brands that had betrayed my trust. I began searching for pet food that was all natural and organic. Newman's Own is both natural and organic. It was also one of the few brands not recalled. Although it was difficult to find a local source, I finally found a few, including Amazon.
My cats love Newman's Own canned and dry food. They also love Innova EVO. I love it because I don't have to worry about tainted food poisoning my cats.
Pros:
1. Peace of mind
2. Does not cause FUS, as did Purina and other similar brands
3. Much less likely to be tainted by lethal contaminants
4. The cats love it
5. Does not cause the other digestive problems.
Cons:
1. It is more expensive than the non-premium brands
2. It can be difficult to find a nearby store that sells Newman's Own.
Overall, the pros outweigh the cons. And I can now add Amazon to my list of sources for the food.

Newman's Own Organics Canned Cat Food Review

(More customer reviews)Kitty loves it! Happily eats 1/2 can in one setting (13.5 lbs cat), 2-3 times a day. His fur does look fluffier after 2 months on this food and he seems more content and alert. Wet food does make him urinate more (he used to get a dry/wet mix of Urinary SO prescription diet), but I am glad, because this should help to keep his urinary tract healthy.
I researched various options before settling on this one. Among other brands (wet food only), he wouldn't even touch "Organix;" he likes "Evo" fine, but not as much as Newman's own and leaves one-third of food uneatten in the bowl. As far as other flavors of Newman's own, he didn't like the Brown rice flavor (too much rice--the cat kept picking out individual grains out of his food one by one), and strangely, after eating a few cans of store-bought Chicken&Salmon flavor, he refused to eat the same flavor from Amazon.

(More customer reviews)I did a lot of reading on cat food after my picky Siamese mix started losing weight slowly since she refused to eat anything my local grocery stores offered, including the more expensive brands. No matter how much I seemed to spend on what passes for "regular" cat foods she looked terrible.
It is definitely a dense food, but that just means I fill up the bowl less often - usually once a day, down from two or more when my younger cat was eating constantly because the food I gave them had so little real food in it! From the way my cats' condition has improved, it appears to be a very healthy food as well. I saw the difference in my Siamese mix's coat less than a week after switching from what was basically fish flavored corn cereal to this - her coat is shiny again and she has definitely gained back some weight on Blue Wilderness. My cats will push each other out of the way to have the first bite after their bowl is empty. My picky eater even eats Blue Wilderness kibble straight from the floor if it's given as a treat.
I have tried several other "holistic" and "real food" cat foods, but this one is definitely the most preferred by me (Amazon.com makes it very affordable compared to my local pet stores) and my two cats. I am happy to have found a somewhat reasonably priced, nutritious cat food - most cat foods belong in the cereal aisle or are so expensive that I would probably have to sell my car to afford them. Blue Wilderness strikes a nice balance.
