(More customer reviews)We like the pop-top lid on the canned foods eliminating the can opener wrestling match and test of dexterity. Opening the can of Artemis, one sees a solid dog food, light in color with bits of foods like carrots, peas, and potatoes readily visible.
Our three pooches like Artemis and their parents do also. The ingredient list is commendable with no fillers and none of those horrendous animal scraps found in cheaper dog foods. Mostly I like seeing the inclusion of potatoes in the mix. We like the density of the canned food; those runny canned products with high liquid content tend to dirty and stain the canine whiskers and beard. One user of Artemis commented that her dog had much less gas and fewer stools. I'll have to monitor our girls more closely to see if this is the case with them. I do notice a welcome firmness in Evie's stools though. If you're looking to try a premium pet food, give Artemis a try.

(More customer reviews)Our two Golden Retrievers have been on Beneful Weight Control now for at least 3 years. We didn't see any out of the ordinary pooping problems that others mention. They love it and both have lost considerable weight -- both were considered "obese," but now one is normal weight and the other is only slightly overweight. My only real complaint is they stopped selling it (at least around here) in the larger 40-50lb bags. Now you can only find these 31lb bags but the price is the same. We go through about 2 bags a month, so it's a little pricey.

I love it because her allergies have cleared up, I feel like I am feeding her something healthy, and her body is digesting most of it (don't have to clean up as much). I looked at most natural foods but she is allergic to salmon, lamb and carrots. That eliminated most of the options out there. I was so glad to find this food. I am not paying much more than I was when I was feeding her PetsMart's food and I am getting so much more.

It was very difficult to find a dog food that does not compromise quality ingredients to make a food low fat. Since my dog is low energy (by no means a sled dog), her diet does not require her to have extreme protein intake. (More customer reviews)My doggie really likes Newman's Organic better than some other dog foods pet and big-box stores sell. My budget doesn't like Newman's Organic as much as Harmony Farms. It's the compromise that keeps the doggie AND my budget happy. Because he eats it heartily, I don't worry that he's getting enough high quality food. Otherwise he won't eat his food and he'll graze in the trash seeking egg shells and bones to fill the void.
There's no barfing, digestion problems or accidents. High Quality food means good digestion, a shiny coat, high energy, bright eyes and a good attitude WITHOUT tons of additional elixers, treats or vet bills. A definite cost effective WIN:WIN for doggie AND me.
I've had great results with Newman's Dog Food that I orderd through Amazon BUT there's 5 pounds LESS for about the same price.
Psst I'm not an organic fanatic, it's the nutritional value that counts for my fur baby and human kids!
Update 3/26/2011: Noticed this has jumped to almost THIRTY BUCKS, will opt for Newman's Organic when the costs per pound are the same...my dog likes BOTH Harmony and Newman, my budget likes the one most cost effective at the time of purchase :)
