(More customer reviews)I have a Shepherd/Labrador mix who will be 15 years old in May 2009. In his prime, he weighed 72 lbs. At his most recent vet check in October 2008 he had dropped to 51 lbs. He had also picked up three habits he had never displayed in his entire life - begging at the table, rooting through the trash and eating his own feces.
The vet explained that although his senior bloodwork was normal, his body was not processing the nutrients in his food so he was looking for sustenance. To put it bluntly - he was starving himself to death. My vet recommended Prozyme.
After almost two months on Prozyme, Galahad has gained three pounds. He doesn't hover at the table or nose through the trash and he doesn't scour the yard for his own droppings. His appetite for regular food has even improved.
I would definitely recommend Prozyme.

Wysong C-Biotic Canine Food Supplement for Dogs Review

(More customer reviews)This wonderful stuff has made such a difference for both our dogs. We have used it for about 4 years. Our younger dog frequently had runny stools - the vet often put him on powerful anti-biotics for the diahrea. Since I started adding a tablespoon of this to all his meals, he can eat anything (including raw meat) with no loose stools, ever! (My dogs are currently eating primarily a fresh food diet that I prepare.) A vet suggested Wysong C-biotic for the pro-biotics, but I believe it also has digestive enzymes that our dog may have been missing. Our older dog had terrible allergies. She was on a variety of meds and even received regular allergy shots. Adding this to her meals made a significant difference. It didn't make sense to me, but her old vet (who is not very holistic) said it made perfect sense. The immune system is based in the gut, and it is the immune system that goes haywire and creates allergies. Getting the old dog's digestive track working better helped her immune system work more normally. (Not to say her allergies are gone, but it is as helpful as many of the other things we do for her.) The dogs love the taste of it too!

Nature's Wisdom Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth 3 lb. Jar Review

(More customer reviews)I have been experiencing a roach problem with the onset of changes in weather.
This product is extremely fine --similar to flour. As you can imagine, it is very difficult to contain. I have wood floors and was unable to vacuum the loose powder and had to wipe over the area several times with a wet cloth to get it cleaned up.
I tried to mix the product with a little water to form a paste, and placed it in the cracks where the wall and floor meet. It's been two days since the application and I have since spotted two roaches who don't appear to be phased by my efforts.
Every website I've read has mentioned using the product as a dust (not necessarily mixing it with water). My only concern is my one year old who may try to eat it, or track it all over the house. I know its supposed to be very safe around children and pets --but the fact that it's so fine and can irritate lungs when inhaled, leaves me apprehensive about it getting kicked up into the air. I'm going to try applying it with a small paintbrush in the corners and crevices and hopefully that will produce better results.
