(More customer reviews)I thought the double bowls were able to be removed separately, but in fact both bowls are attached when removed from the base. Also, this product is not wall mountable- unless you have access to the other side of less than 1" thick wall... is meant for cages or fences.

(More customer reviews)This is nicely made, however, the dog can push the bowl up out of the holder with its nose very easily. So, if you have an active dog that tends to tip over its bowls you may want to consider a different product. Otherwise it is very nice.

They are so easy to take out and clean, they never get bumped out of place and there is absolutely no staining, tarnishing, rusting (I even wash them in the dishwaser). I totally recommend these for use in crates/carriers!

Kennel-Gear Dog Bowl Review

(More customer reviews)The kennel gear bowl system is great. The mount attaches easily and is very secure, once the bowl is inserted in the mount there is no way the dog can get it out. When it's time to wash or fill the bowls they are really easy to release from the mount. The customer service is great too. I needed longer screws for my mount, because I mounted it to chain link, the folks at Kennel-Gear promptly mailed my longer thumb screws.
When ordering in the future I will order single not double bowls though. Because I mounted the bowls to chain link, when my dog eats the bowls wiggle and the water bowl spills a bit. If the bowl was mounted to a more stable surface such as a wall, welded wire or crate, I don't think this would be a problem.
The only down side of these bowls are the price, which is pretty high. That being said I do plan to order more in the future.

(More customer reviews)These bowls are great - they are easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and they hold the right amount of food and water for my puppy. The only downside is that they are pretty easy to flip over. My puppy will get running around, bump into the bowl, and the food will go EVERYWHERE! If your dog is a bit more careful than mine, this bowl will be perfect for you.

(More customer reviews)I got these for our outside kennels and we are very pleased with them. We use a brass snap to keep them securely in place as our dogs are a little rambunctious, but the flat side and hook really do help to balance them while the dogs eat. They come out of the dishwasher nice and shiny. Fast shipping and good customer service (one arrived dented, but that was quickly solved with one phone call). I would purchase the 1 quart for smaller dogs, and the 2 quart for larger ones.

(More customer reviews)Maybe if you have a super calm dog that doesn't get excited in a kennel this could be useful. I was looking for something to keep my dog from spilling the water bowl on the ground in the kennel and figured something raised would help. The idea is not bad it's just not made to withstand ANY kind of jostling. Even attaching it or putting the bowl in or out is fickle and results in falling off half the time. I might try attaching the holder with zip ties or something, but as it's made it doesn't work in my book.

(More customer reviews)I got two of these bowls on sale for a drastically reduced price. They really seemed like a great idea, but their first use proved otherwise. My 12 week old puppy quickly managed to dislodge the bowls from the holders. I didn't really care about the mess, but I did get concerned when she managed to get one of the extension arms of the holders lodged in her mouth while she tried to chew on it. Besides that, the prongs sticking out represent a poking threat to her eyes or the rest of her body. I ended up throwing out the holders and keeping the stainless steel bowls. I Only paid about $5/bowl setup, so the stainless bowls were still a reasonable buy.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this bowl because it is advertised as 1 quart (4 cups). Even when filled to the very very top, which is impractical when using it for water, it only holds 3 cups. For water, its usable capacity is only about 2 cups - far short of a quart. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it does seem to be designed well, and it is attractive.
