I use this one in the main living area for use when my pup needs some down time or a safe place when he is alone. First, it is lighter weight than most crates and I really like that--it's easier to move around. It is very easy to put up and collaps (zippers) and so far the zippers are working fine (have had it for a couple months and use it when traveling once or twice a month). Collapsing the crate and fitting it in the carrying case works really great. Sometimes you end up with something that never fits back in its original case, this one always does! The handle on top also makes it easy to pick up and move around when fully up. Even the screen is fairly durable when my pup is upset about being in there and scratches the screen, but that lasts less than a minute (so if your dog never stops scratching, you might have a problem). The one thing is that the structure does bend, but you can bend it back. I like it.

I was looking for something to keep my dog from spilling the water bowl on the ground in the kennel and figured something raised would help. The idea is not bad it's just not made to withstand ANY kind of jostling. Even attaching it or putting the bowl in or out is fickle and results in falling off half the time. I might try attaching the holder with zip ties or something, but as it's made it doesn't work in my book.

The door latches work well and there is no flexing of the crate when my wild one gets excited. My other crate is the mid west pro series that we can't keep the pan from sliding out when the dog moves around. Also the latches are a pain. If I was going to get another I would get the EliteField .

My 12 week old puppy quickly managed to dislodge the bowls from the holders. (More customer reviews)This is a great crate especially for the price! I typically pay $20-$30 more for the same size crate in black at the local pet store. The wire is also little thicker than some of the cheaper crates like the petco brand. The downside of that is it makes the crate just a little heavier. If it is going to be set up in your house that wont be an issue but I am using the crate for dog shows and traveling to dog sport events. I have a crate cart but without it this might be a pain to lug around. The crate folds up easily but I did need to adjust the clasps a little to make sure it was a little sturdier, just used a pair of pliers and it took less than a minute. I like that it has a metal pan as the plastic pans tend to crack especially after moving them around a lot. The metal pan does make the crate a bit nosier but this was easily remedied by placing a towel (or bathroom mat) between the bottom wire and the pan. The pan sits on top of the towel and makes absolutely no noise. I do this with all my wire crates because I hate the noise they make when set up in a moving vehicle. The paint did chip off in a few small places but nothing really noticeable.
Overall the crate looks really good, is a great bargain and with just a few minor adjustments is perfect. I love the color and I am buying a second one!
