KONG Genius Mike Dog Toy, Colors vary Review

KONG Genius Mike Dog Toy, Colors vary
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have a small (12 pounds), fat dachsund who, when he smells foods seeks and destroys anything in its path. I have a couple of the standard Kong toys and he hasn't chipped off, broken or otherwise chewed through them. This, however, within the first couple days of having, he chewed off small bits of it. Certainly not anything big enough to hurt him (smaller than a pencil eraser), but anything being broken off isn't good. Not sure if I got a defective one since I've only had excellent results with other Kong toys, but be careful with this one for small pieces coming off.

Premier Squirrel Dude Dog Toy Review

Premier Squirrel Dude Dog Toy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Our dog won't touch a toy unless it's filled with food. She's figured a lot of the puzzle toys out, and cleans out a classic Kong in record time. I really needed something to keep her occupied for an extended time, and Squirrel Dude is my man. It's similar to a classic Kong, except it has four flexible, triangular tabs in the opening. You can control the "flow" of food--simply leave the tabs as is to make the dog's job harder, or trim them so the food falls out faster. You'll have to gauge it based on the size of the treat you plan to use, and how dedicated your dog is. We like to fill this with smaller treats--kibble, bits of chicken jerky, Zuke's, and broken-up biscuits, so I just barely trimmed each tab and it works great. She'll work at this off and on all day, and sometimes will take longer than a day to empty it. We've had Squirrel Dude about six months--he takes a beating every day and has held up incredibly well. This was truly money well spent.

When your dog sees treats, smells treats, and hears treats, he'll have a great time figuring out how to get at them. The non-toxic, natural rubber Premier Busy Buddy Squirrel Dude is extremely durable and designed to hold up well against even the toughest chewers. The opening at the bottom features soft, adjustable rubber prong that face inward and move aside to let you stuff it with kibble or treats. The Treat Meter prongs randomly dispense the treats while your dog plays. Ideal for dogs 20 to 50 pounds, including beagles, shelties, and spaniels.

Premier Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble Dog Toy Review

Premier Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble Dog Toy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great toy for dogs. It is durable and my dogs keep playing with it after the food is all gone. Like one of the other reviews said, the holes are large but if you put a tennis ball in with the food is inhibits the food from going out the holes as fast. Also I have found if you put a ball with a bell inside of it instead of food it will keep your dog busy for hours. They can't get it out but boy do they try. I have three border collies and ONE of these toys and my boys are very aggressive at play. After a month this toy barely looks used and I use it every other day. Again, great toy and it is big enough to put other things in it besides food.

I bought these when I first got my puppy and she loves them. I went back to the pet store where I purchased them and they were all out and I paniced. I found these online and it was such a good deal I couldn't not by them. My puppy gets all excited when she hears me open the bag. They are great training treats.

Great China Chick Ball Plush Chew Toy Review

We got this to replace our Golden's fluff ball (which he loved) and it turned out that he loved the duck just as much. Sure, it rips apart, but our dog flings it from side to side by its beak, so nothing plushy is going to stand up to that for long. We just sew it back together and he's back on his merry way.

Fire Plug All Purpose Storage Container 24"H x 9"D Review

Fire Plug All Purpose Storage Container 24H x 9D
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Unlike most fire plug lawn decorations, this is a full-sized fire plug. It looks nice and is well constructed of heavy plastic and serves well as a container - in our case, for squirrel food! Our little dog loves to chase the squirrels, so we encourage their visits to keep him entertained. The squirrels know he will never catch them, so the cocky little things hang right outside his run and taunt him.

Nutro Ultra Dry Puppy Food Review

Nutro Ultra Dry Puppy Food
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We stuck with the food our chihuahua puppy was getting at the pet store (I just couldn't find the right pup for adoption so went to a petstore). I always heard people saying that it's not good to switch their foods.
When my husband did try to buy another brand at a local grocery store, our pup did NOT want to eat it. That food basically went to waste. I gave this brand 4 stars because our pup is very vigorous, healthy and has a beautiful shiny coat. I really do believe that Nutro Ultra is giving me a healthy puppy and am very likely to continue to purchase this brand.

IAMS Savory Sauce for Puppies Review

IAMS Savory Sauce for Puppies
Average Reviews:

It seems that whenever I need to order this product, one or more of the flavors is not available. That means that often I'm forced to purchase untested (by my dogs) flavors I would normally pass on.
Where is this product headed? Will it be available at all soon? IAMS needs to make up their mind as to whether they are going to continue this product or not.

I can't believe how much my puppy goes crazy over these treats! She can't get enough of them! After she has quickly consumed one, she spends a good ten minutes licking up the leftover that is stuck to whatever surface she was eating it on! Be careful about where you let your puppy eat these at, because they could be a bit messy--they're really soft and when they get wet from your puppy's mouth, the combination is a sticky mess! I do not regret purchasing these treats and I think I'll be getting some more because my puppy loves them so much! Mine fit inside the small puppy kong and when she chews it down to the bottom, just stick the back side of a spoon or fork into the top of the kong to push the rest of the treat out!

PawProof Designer Pet Bowls Outdoor Collection Review

PawProof Designer Pet Bowls Outdoor Collection
Average Reviews:

Bought this for our chesapeake bay retriever...he managed to destroy other plastic bowls within months. We've had this one for over a year and it still looks perfect. He still drags it out in the yard and attempts, but there really isn't anywhere for him to get a hold of it to start chewing. We loved this bowl so much, shortly afterwards we bought another one for our choc lab!

This stuff is fabulous. I have a real chewer, and she knows how to break up the cookies almost immediately by throwing the Kong against the walls and into the air. By spraying some paste on the inside walls of the Kong, she has to spend some extra time with it, keeping her busy longer! They absolutely love this stuff - I can hide them anywhere and they know the minute they enter the room that they're around. Wonderful product.

My Yorkie liked the original Kong treat that came with the Kong toy, so we thought we'd get some more. When I opened the bag I almost fell over from the horrible smell! Plus, our Yorkie doesn't seem to like them as much (not sure why). They should at least make the smell somewhat pleasant as I dread opening the bag to try to get one out!

StarMark Everlasting Fun Ball, Dog Toy Medium / Large Review

StarMark Everlasting Fun Ball, Dog Toy Medium / Large
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've become a pretty big fan of Starmark products and since our dog doesn't have ENOUGH toys, I bought this one for him at the store on sale one day.
PROS:
You can put just about anything in it, especially regular kibble, and it holds much more than the Bento ball.
Much quieter than his Kibble Nibble (which he absolutely LOVES). He can play and eat his dinner and we can enjoy a quiet, busy dog and a movie.
It takes him much longer to get food out than his other treat dispensing toys (Bento ball, Kibble Nibble and Kong).
Not as expensive as the other Everlasting toys and is more versatile as I don't have to exclusively use Starmark's expensive treats.
You can still use Starkmark's Everlasting interlocking treats for more long lasting fun and appeal.
CONS:
More difficult than some other toys to fill with treats but still fairly easy. You have to squeeze it just right and slowly let the kibble fall in.
It is a bit of a challenge for him to get the treats to fall out. (He plays with his toys mostly with his feet rather than his mouth) This could be because of the size of his kibble. He has not become frustrated with it and quit playing with it altogether yet so this isn't too much of a con. He does stop after awhile but comes back to it later. The longer he is busy and the more worn out he gets playing, the better!
When given the option of all his toys in his basket, this is not the one that Dexter grabs. I have to put up is other toys to make him play with this one. He does seem to enjoy it but it's not his favorite by far. (That's why I gave it 4/5 stars)
I think this a good value for the money but if your dog has really large kibble and he prefers to roll his toys around rather then gnaw on them, this wouldn't be a good feeding toy but still fun for smaller treats. It's also very bouncy for regular fetching.

My dogs love to play with this toy. It is really fun to watch them move the toy all over to get the treat out - except when they roll it under the chair and I have to fetch it for them! I highly recommend this toy for any dog who might experience separation anxiety. At least it will keep them busy for a while.

NaturVet Bitter Yuck No Chew Spray For Dogs Review

NaturVet Bitter Yuck No Chew Spray For Dogs
Average Reviews:

I used this product to keep my dog from chewing the vertical blinds. A tip given to me by the sales person at my local pet store worked wonders: have your animal close and watching you as you apply the spray to whatever you don't want them chewing/licking/etc. and spray some in his mouth at the same time while using whatever your discouraging word is (No, Bad, etc.). I did have to reapply daily (I assume because the blinds are vinyl and don't absorb well), but it worked and didn't stain either! Thanks Bitter Yuck!

Smarter Toys IQ Treat Ball Dog Toy Review

Smarter Toys IQ Treat Ball Dog Toy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This ball is great for my two and a half year old border collie mix. I give his breakfast through this ball, and it keeps him occupied for 20 minutes total. The ball won't fill up a whole cup of kibble, so I have to fill it up two times. This ball takes him longer and tires him more than the Tug a Jug, which only takes him about five minutes to empty. As he empties the ball twice, he will pant and go lap on some water. It's good to see he's getting some kind of work for his food as opposed to just chomping it down from the bowl with no effort.
The only downside is that a lot of times the lid gets loose even if you close it pretty secure. One time the lid came off completly as my dog was playing with it, exposing all the kibble. To prevent this I used some strength to close the lid very tight, but later I could not open it back up! It took a grown male to open it back.
My dog does not chew on this ball due to the awkward shape and material(hard plastic). I and my dog have dropped this a couple of times on both laminate and wood floor, but I see no crack on the ball so far. It seems durable.
Good ball to make your dog work for his breakfast or dinner.
UPDATE: My dog still loves this toy. With the difficulty setting set to max, it is the slowest treat dispensing toy in my collection(buster cube, tug a jug, kong wobbler). That's good, it lets him burn off more energy.
Also since the ball doesn't hold a full cup of kibble, I would pour half and the rest on his regular food bowl. I place the ball next the the bowl and give a release "OK!". Guess where my dog goes? He runs off with the ball! Even after realizing that there is food in the bowl (He puts his nose inside the bowl for a second and then goes to the ball) where he could just eat it, he perfers to get his food from the ball.
