(More customer reviews)I've been using Solid Gold Wolf King for a few years, ever since I researched dog foods on the Internet and found that Wolf King is basically bison and whole ground-up salmon. I'm no expert, but my instincts tell me that this is close to what wild wolves eat, when they can, and all dogs, especially my three Siberian Huskies, are descendants of wolves -- last I heard. When you see "by-products" as a dog food ingredient, consider that it could mean chicken feathers and beaks, and even tumors. A vet told me to supplement most dog foods with real meat because there just isn't enough protein in them. "A dog knows when he's full," she said, "when he's had enough protein."
