(More customer reviews)Looking for a way to save space in my feed room these seemed like the perfect solution. I had some reservations but after reading other reviews I purchased two storage units. I use them for 50 pound bags of horse feed and I defy someone to get 100 pounds in one. It is difficult to empty the feed bag into the front of the storage unit as you have to keep pushing the feed toward the back to make room for the rest of the bag. I don't find them particularly rugged either as the bottom one has collapsed a little on one corner after only a couple of months use. I appreciate their space saving feature but probably would not purchase another.

Vittles Vault "Jr" Review

(More customer reviews)I used the Jr Vault to store food when travelling with my dogs. It's compact and sturdy. While the lid is not the "vault" lid seen on larger size Vittle Vaults, it does a good job at containing the pet food odors - i.e. my dogs don't try to dig their way to the trunk of the car to get at the container, they leave it alone in the hotel room and the car doesn't smell like dog food.
The Jr. Vittle Vault is not dog-proof. If you need a dog-proof food container, you may want to look at bear-proof food containment systems. The snap-on eating "dish" attached to the screw-cap lid should be cleaned after each use. Failing to do so will make the screw-cap lid dirty and smelly which means that your dog will try to chew the lid(s) as it now smells tasty.
This little vault would be make great countertop/pantry storage solution for a small dog or cat. It would also work well as a dog treat container.
A lesser-know use for the Jr. Vault... Shake the Jr Vault (with food inside) and your dogs will come to your feet very quickly ;)

Vittles Vault 60-Pound Stackable Review

(More customer reviews)I purchase flour in 25 or 50lb bags to save money. Unfortunately I have had to leave it in the bag. I tried other plastic containers but they were all difficult to open, hard to get to, and never sealed tight.
This container is GREAT! The seal is air tight, very easy to open, and does not make a mess when I open it up. The plastic is thick so the container does not bend or twist. Finally, its shape is perfect for me. I can stack three on top of each other (bread flour, whole wheat, and rye) and still open each one up. Try that with other large containers!

(More customer reviews)This is a excellent product if it is going to be placed indoors, such as a garage. I had placed this storage container in a outdoor storage shed and had major problems with ants. Since moving it to the garage, I haven't had any more problems. I have used these to store dog food, cat litter and dog treats. They have served their purpose. Only downside is that the lid doesn't fit tighter. I have used both the 100 and the 40.

(More customer reviews)I've been using the Vittles Vault for several months now, one for dog food and one for cat food. None of the animals have even TRIED to chew into it, I think because the screw-on lids really do seal in the smell. I have one stacked on top of the other, so they are very space efficient. One thing I really like about this product is that it keeps the product fresh and fresh-smelling, without adding that nasty plastic smell. I go through a lot of feed with 4 dogs and 6 cats. Vittle Vault protects my feed investment from scavengers of all sizes and keeps the feed smelling as good as the day I opened the original bag. I've tried other containers, and this is by far the best! I use the size that holds 40 lbs of dry dog food, so I can easily move it needed, even when it's full. I have proven opinions on a lot of pet products, and this one is great!

I have to order my great dane's food online so it was important to have a food storage bin that didn't take up a lot of space but was able to hold a lot of food. The Vittles Vault 80lb works great, I order two 33lb bags of food at a time, both fit in but only if the container is completely empty to begin with. It takes up less space than a trash can and really does seal air tight, so you don't have that dog food smell in the garage. I was unable to find this larger size at the pet stores and everywhere else I looked on line charged twice as much for this item and the shipping charges were outrageous! That's why I love amazon, you can find great deals and usually no shipping charge.

(More customer reviews)We're getting ready to buy a second "Vault" to hold puppy food; we've been using our first Vault to store adult dog food. The Vault is the only food storage item we've ever found that you can leave out there in the garage with four large dogs, and they can bite it, knock it over, push it around, jump on it, spill their water bowl by it, etc., and nothing affects the contents or allows them to access the contents. It is truly airtight and watertight, but easy to open and close rapidly with a "spin" of the large cap, which has a well-designed screw-on system.
