(More customer reviews)We live in a building in White Plains, NY that is affected by bedbugs. We've had several of these nasty parasites in our apartment over the past 9 months. 3 months ago my wife discovered this product, and purchased the 3 pound container that you see here. We started sprinkling it around our apartment: we did the perimeter baseboard, pulled up our area rugs and dusted the floorboards, and even put it between our box spring and mattress.
We've found bedbugs dried up around our apartment in the areas that we've treated, so it's successful as a treatment for bedbugs. The fact that it is pet-safe (you can feed it to your pets to de-worm them? crazy) gives us peace of mind about our cat stepping in it and washing her paws later.
If you put this down on your floors, be sure to have good ventilation. We didn't realize how long this powder would hang in the air when we first treated our bedroom: we did that at night, then had to quick get the Ionic Breeze into our room so we wouldn't sneeze all night.
Our exterminator didn't know about diatomaceous earth before he came to treat our apartment. I showed him this product and explained how it worked; he has now incorporated it into his arsenal of bedbug toxins.

(More customer reviews)We had our dog for 4 years and then noticed in the spring of 2010 that he was itching a lot and biting himself. Well, we had taken him camping and he ended up with fleas and we found a huge tick on him too! We tried all different types of programs from Petsmart but nothing seemed to work. I searched online until I found the Program and decided we would give it a try. I did read that he could possibly get a little sick from the first pill but nothing happened he just took it with a piece of ham and loved it. A few days later we realized that all of the fleas were dying. YES!!! It worked great, sticker came with it for your calendar so every month I knew exactly what day to give him his little pill. No pesky fleas or ticks since a couple of days after we started!

Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade 50 Lb Review

(More customer reviews)I have been a big fan of DE for many years. You have to make sure you get DE in food grade and not the kind used for swimming pools. I used this for dogs I have pulled from shelters on mange and it killed the mange mites. Again, no expensive vets bills or poisons for your pets.
Use it too around the perimeter of your home to kill spiders and other pests.
We have several dogs from rescue and they are on pasture grass...loaded with ticks and fleas. I place this in their kennels and on them directly. We have no problems with insects and my dogs suffering from bites.Pricing: This is a great price for the 50lb size. You think you will not use this much, but trust me you will. As long as you store in indoors where it is free from mositure, it will last for a long time.
** Caution: You will need to wear a mask and buy a sifter to apply this cause you must not breathe in the dust. If you buy the DE, you need to buy an applicator to protect you and your pets fro mthe dust.
Other that that you are looking at a organic way to stay pest free!
Food grade DE is also used for a dewormer. I put it my pets food monthly so they are not taking toxic chemical dewormers. Not to mention the savings from not having to but those toxic dewormers saves me quite a bit in money.

(More customer reviews)This is basically a generic version of Capstar. Not only is it cheaper, you get more pills per container. We have had the worst flea season ever and spraying alone didn't seem to make a dent since our pets spend a lot of time outside and the yard is too big to completely cover with insecticide. After we tried the capsules on our pets the adult fleas started dying within 30 minutes. As suggested we sprayed the house and outside area with a home insecticide to kill eggs and larvae that are not affected by these pills. They work by poisoning the adult flea when it bites the dog, so therefore the more eggs you kill beforehand will help reduce the number of capsules you have to give your dog. Also works on our indoor cat as well and they are MUCH happier after just one week. They suggested giving a dose daily for heavily infested dogs (esp. if they are kept outdoors)until you notice a great improvement. We gave one tablet each day for two days, then skipped a day, then skipped 2 days. We only see a couple of fleas falling off our dog now and she isn't scratching.
Would also work if you don't want to spray for the flea eggs, but would have to give the tablets over a longer period of time since the fleas would continually hatch. In effect, you would have to wait until every egg hatched and bit your dog so they would no longer appear.

Adams Flea and Tick Yard Spray with Sprayer Review

(More customer reviews)This yard spray really does the job especially if you have more of a tick problem than a flea problem. Here in Hawaii, there are a lot of ticks. I usually use Frontline Plus, which worked wonders for my two GSDs who also go to obedience school. Anyhow, one month I forgot, and suddenly there is a tick epidemic in my yard and on my dogs.
So, I ordered some of this spray that I had used a long time ago in the past. The packaging was the same. But there was one problem this time. When you get the box, it comes with a child-safe cap that has a foil seal inside. The spray attachment and inner tube/cap are separate. This tube and inner cap is supposed to fit nicely inside the neck of the bottle so that you can easily screw on the sprayer attachment. So, following the instructions, I took off the foil seal and attempted to put in the tube with the plastic cap. The tube fell out of the inner cap part, and into the bottle. Since this was a new bottle, the concentrate was full, and impossible to get the tube part out without spilling the liquid! I ended up using a thin stick I found in the yard to help fish it out. So, I put the tube back into the inner cap, and then a second problem!
This time, the cap part didn't fit in the neck of the bottle! So, I tried forcing it, and suddenly the bottle "gave" out a little and the concentrated formula overflowed on the outside of the bottle. At this point I was getting pretty grumpy and thinking what the heck, this didn't happen the last time I used this brand! Since I orderd two boxes, I opened up the second box and there was the same problem. So I ended up having to use my brass hose nozzle and scraped it around the bottle opening to "stretch" it out a little. I finally got the cap to fit properly and then attached the sprayer. I then turned on the hose with the sprayer on "off" as per the instructions. Suddenly, the sprayer broke apart and I was blasted with water. Thankfully it was only the end part attached to the hose that somehow snapped off. I was able to snap it back on and turning down the water, proceeded to use it on my lawn.
Overall this is a good product and it works. I guess maybe the bottle and sprayer were made in China since the quality was really poor compared to the last time I used it.

I can't say I have scientific proof that using Brewer's yeast is better, but so far no problems with fleas at all. It's not safe for use if you have young animals or children running around. This should have been mentioned on the page, instead I had to wait til I received the product to find out. At a $10 nonrefundable shipping price and no reimbursement for costs to send it back, it costs more to try to return it than to just keep it.

(More customer reviews)Just got my order of these tablets today. Thought I was getting a really good deal with 1000 but I have to use twice as many as with my usual brand. I was using 1 per 10 lbs.; these require 2 per 10 lbs. So I must use twice as many so it is not nearly the bargain I thought. But the worse part is that liver and peanut butter are both listed in the description above ingredients and neither of these are listed on the ingredients on the bottle.
The ingredients on the bottle are: Brewer's Dried Yeast, Montmoriilonite Clay, Diccalcim Phospahate, Garlic, Natureal Flavoring, Stearic Acid, Silica Aerogel, Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil, Magnesium, Stearate, Dried Whey, Vegetable Oil, Niacin supplement. Riblflavin, Ascorbic Acid, and Thiamine Mononitrate.
I am not even sure some of this this stuff is good for my dogs. Will have to figure out what the heck all this is. I may be sending it back.
FOLLOW UP: This company corrected their misinformation within a couple of days and offered me a full refund including shipping after I sent them an email. Very honest.
