Large 24 oz Stainless Steel Pet Bowl - Non-Skid Base Review

Large 24 oz Stainless Steel Pet Bowl - Non-Skid Base
Average Reviews:

We have a boxer puppy. Hes small now, but it won't take long for him to get bigger. We needed bowls big enough for him. Most places I looked only had bowls for small dogs, like for yorkies. These are nice, the rubber slip bottom prevents the bowls from sliding around the floor when our boy is chowin down, and they hold a good amount of food. They look pretty nice too.

Skid Stop Slow Feed Bowl - Medium (Color May Vary) Review

Skid Stop Slow Feed Bowl - Medium (Color May Vary)
Average Reviews:

Pugs are notoriously fast eaters. My youngest pug has choked on his food twice because a) he eats so fast and b) he doesn't bother to chew. This bowl doesn't solve the chewing issue, but it has certainly slowed him down.
I only gave 4 stars because I think the bowl with the knobs would be better suited for pugs. It's a little too hard for him to get to his food due to the dividers. I think this bowl works better for dogs with actual snouts.
My pug would probably give it 1 star. He is not too happy with this bowl. Every time I set it down in front of him, he looks at me like, "Seriously? We're still doing this?" But at least there's no more worries about him choking! (Until he figures out how to turn it over)

Durapet Slow Feed Bowls - Small 7 1/2" Review

Durapet Slow Feed Bowls - Small 7 1/2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love these bowls! I have three dogs: two West Highland Terriers and a Scottish Terrier. They all eat too fast. My newest Westie (4 months old) eats REALLY FAST! I bought these bowls to slow down their eating. They work really well on the two older dogs. The puppy has a small enough head & mouth area that he can still eat pretty fast, but it has slowed him down some. I am sure as he grows, he will be slowed down even futher. These bowls are very good quality. They are a nice, heavy stainless steel with a rubber pad around the bottom to prevent slipping on smooth surfaces. They wash up beautifully! I am very happy with these bowls & they were reasonably priced.

JW Pet Company SkidStop Slow Feed Dog Bowl, Jumbo (Colors Vary) Review

I bought the bowl for my lab after he was having some indigestion from eating to quickly from a standard bowl. We've been using this bowl for about a month and it has really helped. He went from eating his normal portion in 30 seconds to almost two minutes. It is more difficult for him to get his entire mouth inside the bowl and he has to use his tongue to get all of it, but that is what it was intended to do.

Suncast Elevated Feeding Tray Review

Suncast Elevated Feeding Tray
Average Reviews:

I got this because my girlfriend had one for her dog. Whenever we went to her apartment I could tell that my dogs wanted one. I was right. They really like having elevated feeding bowls. Its construction is sturdy and it looks easy to clean (it hasn't gotten dirty yet). I was worried that the bowls might be cheap, but they are made of sturdy steel. I also like that you have the option of not using the legs and snapping them under the bowls. The only sacrifice there is there is nothing below the bowls to catch water. Not a big deal unless you are putting this onto a hardwood floor. Also this is not really for a small dog like a Yorkie even though they label it "small." My dogs are over 30 pounds, which I consider medium, and the bowl is at a perfect height for them. But I suppose dogs that size don't really need a raised bowl anyway. All in all I would recommend this product.

Brake-Fast Dog Food Bowls - Medium Blue Review

Brake-Fast Dog Food Bowls - Medium Blue
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Ive been looking for this type of product for a while, and it actually amazes me that no one else has thought of it.. then I realize why
the problem with this, is that each dog is obviously different. The length of the nose and shape of mouth, makes a big difference.
I have 4 labs, 1 of them is a mastermind, and knows the tricks of the trade to get in there and eat fast, the other 2 still goes in circles trying to get it, the last just takes his dandy ol time anyways to begin with
It does work to some extent, but some dogs "learn". so I notice that my dogs at first ate slow, but now eat faster. Not as fast as they would in a normal bowl but still, theres only so much you can do I guess
Lastly, my biggest gripe is the material. Its like cheap plastic imo. My dogs bit their bowls, and the plastic gets damaged easily so my next question is, why didnt they make this with Metal ? or somethhing else more durable?
good luck, hope it works for you..

Bought this for our chesapeake bay retriever...he managed to destroy other plastic bowls within months. We've had this one for over a year and it still looks perfect. He still drags it out in the yard and attempts, but there really isn't anywhere for him to get a hold of it to start chewing. We loved this bowl so much, shortly afterwards we bought another one for our choc lab!

Bought these for our pomeranians and they are great. They don't slide across the floor like their old bowls did and they are easy to wipe out after use. The only bad thing is I put them in the dishwasher for an extra cleaning and the little dog prints on the outside faded. :( Still enjoying them however!

These dishes are so very cute and they take up less space because they can actually sit right next to each other. I bought 3. One for water, one for the dry food that I always have filled and one for the wet food that I give my dog once a day. Pretty colors, easy to clean and durable too. They CAN break but I dropped one in the sink and it didn't break.
Love them.

We have 3 boxers that would eat their food very fast and then throw it all back up. These bowls have solved that problem, 100%. We've had the bowls for about a month now, 2 feedings/day and no issues whatsoever. The 'skid stop' is a joke, though... they get pushed all over the place.

Had gottent this dish a while back for my little terrier who likes to snarf her food. Got this one for my lab to slow her eating down a little. Works pretty well for her. Makes her take smaller bites and chew more than eating out of her regular bowl. I really like the fact that the bowls are made of food quality plastic and you can put them in the dishwasher. Great product!

EatBetter helps your dog eat more slowly, minimizing many of the health issues associated with fast-paced eating including indigestion, vomiting and bloating. The wishbone center of the bowl creates an obstacle that prevents gulping or vacuuming behaviors. The bowl's innovative design encourages dogs to take smaller mouthfuls and chew more.

Omega Paw Portion Pacer Ball Review

Omega Paw Portion Pacer Ball

We have a Golden who inhales his food. In fact, he has an amazing resemblance to my Shop-Vac when he's eating.
This has slowed him somewhat, but it's certainly not a relaxing dinner over a glass of wine. It's probably a 50% improvement - from a 30 second affair out to maybe 45 seconds.
We also tried one of the bowls with the built-in obstructions. He pushed it all over the room trying to get to his food. Then he picked it up and dumped it out.
At least he hasn't tried to eat the ball. Yet...

Gray Dogbol Review

Gray Dogbol

I love that this dog bowl goes in the dishwasher! We normally use it (I mean, our dog, Jonah, uses it) inside with the mat, but in nice weather we set one outside for water-it doesn't slide around on the deck like our last one. The slanted sides keep him from picking it up and playing with it. All the available colors are fun, but we chose the gray and green bowls with the blue mat.

Durapet Premium Stainless Steel Slow-Feed Bowl for Dogs and Cats Review

Durapet Premium Stainless Steel Slow-Feed Bowl for Dogs and Cats
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this bowl for a black lab who inhales his food. It's definitely slowed him down. After hearing sad stories of dogs who died from the Bloat I was anxious to find a bowl that would slow my dog down. What I like about this particular bowl is that it's not made of lightweight plastic, the weight of the stainless steel helps it to stay put, along with a non-slip rubber grip on the base of the bowl. It stays in place and doesn't end up tipped over or pushed under the cabinet toe-kick. Plastic bowls get scratched up on the inside after so much use, you don't have that problem with stainless steel. And you never really know if there's bacteria on the plastic, with stainless steel it's easy to steralize.

DogPause Dog Bowl Review

DogPause Dog Bowl
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased the DogPause bowl and matching water bowl in January and have been very pleased with both. --- Using the DogPause bowl, has slowed my dog down when eating. Now, instead of keeping his nose/mouth shoved in his bowl and hoovering up his food, Charlie takes a bite of food from the bowl, lifts his head, and chews the food before swallowing and going back for more. After using the bowl for several months, I have also started to notice a change in the way he eats his dog treats... Unfortunately, when I first got the bowls, Charlie was just 7 months old. He thought they were toys and tried to chew through the side of the food bowl. It's made of pretty tough, durable plastic so he didn't have much success but he did manage to make a few little teeth marks, which do make the bowl hard to clean by hand. Fortunately, the DogPause bowl and matching water bowl are both dishwasher safe! Also, the bowls are both really cute (and stackable)! I have seen some other slow-eat dog bowls and in fact, almost purchased one, but I am glad I waited. I don't think I have seen any cuter than the DogPause. Finally, do be careful when filling up the water bowl from the sink. If the water hits the dog on the bottom of the bowl at the right angle, you may get splashed...

Brake-Fast Dog Food Bowls - Small Red Review

Brake-Fast Dog Food Bowls - Small Red
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have a Beagle, a Cocker, and a Dacshund mix. The medium works for the first two and the small is perfect for the little guy.
Postive:
My dog would eat so fast that I was sure he never chewed. All three dogs eat at the same time and the Beagle would always finish first and then pressure the others for thier food. This caused the Cocker to eat a little faster too. I am glad I saw these on a TV show recently. They work!!
My Beagle has slowed down considerably. He HAS to slow down just to get to all the bits around the center prongs. I hope it keeps working. We have been using it for 2 weeks and I just ordered more for my niece to use with her 3 dogs.
Needs Improvement:
The bowls need to be weighted down. They are too light. With the dog having to move his nose around the prongs, it moves the bowl more than a standard bowl. Adding some weight would help.
My dad is working on a raised platform to use with the bowls. That will give the benefit of feeding the dogs at their best level AND holding the bowls in place on the stand.
I highly recommend these to anyone with dogs who eat so fast that they regurge thier food as soon as they are done.
