Sturdy and steady, doesn't attract dust the way a wooden or plastic stand does, the dishes don't fall out because the lip is actually wider. We have two other dogs with similar stands but this one is our favorite because we know the dishes fit securely on the stand and are very easy to remove and set back into the stand.
