I use these treats for training. The dog really seems to like the flavor. She is only 17 pounds and the treats are kind of large to give her a whole one each time she does something right. They are small squares about the size of a nickel. I know a nickel is round, but that is the only thing I can think of that is a similar size.
My dog has really bad separation anxiety so what I do is crumble a treat and then sprinkle it all over the floor. Then I walk out of the room and close the door. The dog stays busy by sniffing the ground and licking up the small moist pieces of dog treats. This is how I am practicing leaving her alone for longer and longer periods. I tried it with kibble but she wasn't as interested or excited by it and would whine and bark the second I closed the door. With these treats, she will stay quiet and occupied while I am away.
I wish there weren't so many preservatives. Here is the ingredients list straight off the label: Chicken, chicken liver, chicken by-product meal, wheat flour, glycerin, propylene glycol, phosphoric acid, salt, potassium sorbate and citric acid and BHA and calcium propionate (preservatives), natural and artificial apple and banana flavors, iron oxide.
