After seeing how comfortable our cats were with the 5" raised dishes we bought from this company, we decided to try the wider shallower 6" dishes for their evening meals of canned food. We purchased 2 teal green and 2 eggshell dishes. Just like before with the 5" dishes we got for their hard food, our cats took immediately to the 6" wide dishes. We noticed that they seem to eat more of their wet food from the wider shallow dish and that they make less of a mess while eating! Something about the design of the rim keeps the food contained and they hardly ever spill their dinner on the floor. The wide shallow bowl does not irritate the especially sensitive whiskers of our oldest cat. Also, even if some wet food remains in the dish overnight, the dishes are a breeze to clean the next day. We've had these wet food dishes for several years and they are still in perfect condition - they have stood the test of time.
