They keep the food fresh, it's so easy to see when you need to order more, and they are really aesthetically pleasing. I love that you can pour from the smaller door, or open the whole lid, and when you open the lid all the way, it folds back completely flat against the back of the bin, instead of only opening 120 degrees or something and stressing the hinges. I keep 20 lbs of bird food, 2 26 lb bags of litter and 20 lbs of rabbit food in these, and they are just perfect.
