Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed Puppy Dry Dog Food Review

Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed Puppy Dry Dog Food
Average Reviews:

I have been using Nutro for years. My vet reccomends it. NO BY PRODUCTS. They use only the editable parts of the organ, the liver, the gizard, etc. no feet, beaks, feathers, etc are ground in. I fed this to my German Shepherd and she lived nearly 14 years. The ONLY reason she passed was hip displasia and severe pain. I have had Chihuahuas on Nutro, a different formula for 10 years now. This particular formula, the Large Breed Puppy is what I am feeding my new German Shepherd Puppy. AKC registered. Nice stools, easy to pick up and no gas. You simply can't go wrong with Nutro Max. This formula works great for any large breed puppy. Wonderful formula and a wonderful product. And Amazon ships quick. And by the way Nutro makes a formula for what every size of dog you may have.

Avoderm Natural Skin and Coat Shampoo -- 16 fl oz Review

Avoderm Natural Skin and Coat Shampoo -- 16 fl oz

I use Avoderm shampoo for my cat. It leaves her coat very soft and shiny. Also, the scent is very nice. Lightly scented, not to perfumey, just right. I can tell it really helps to soothe her skin and condition her fur.
Years ago when I had a dog, a sheltie-mix with lots of fur, I also used this same shampoo on him. It had the same result on the dog, leaving his coat very soft and clean, and his skin moisturized.

Avoderm Natural Shampoo -- 16 fl oz Review

Avoderm Natural Shampoo -- 16 fl oz

Tried this shampoo as my golden retriever was getting irritated by some of the "cheaper" shampoos and I couldn't be more pleased. Great scent, even still wet there was no "wet dog" smell - and now two days later when she runs by there's a nice mellow fragrance. So far no itching or scratching with it and it created a nice lather and sudsy bath. Looking forward to trying some of their other grooming products now. Was $12.00 in my local petstore but well worth it. 5 Star.

ARC Laboratories Kwik-Stop Styptic Powder for Dogs Review

ARC Laboratories Kwik-Stop Styptic Powder for Dogs
Average Reviews:

I have used Kwik Stop for my pets for a long time. I know with
technology of today, it is easier for a pet owner to care for
their pets nails without clipping them. However, if you do still
clip their nails, Kwik Stop is a sure way to stop bleeding if you
accidentally clip too far into the quik. I highly recommend it!
Thank you, Iris

Shed Ender Review

Shed Ender
Average Reviews:

This also works for me very well, but I had to use it for a while to get the hang of it. It's important to hold it at a 90 degree angle to the coat, brush in the direction that the fur is growing, apply a little bit of pressure and use the comb facing in the right direction. Some of our cats hate the wire brush I use, especially the one with diabetes who has tender skin, and it does seem to irritate all of them after a bit of use. The wire brush also makes noise as it passes over their fur which some of them don't like. They all seem to like this comb, it's silent, doesn't hurt, and does pull out a lot of big clumps of undercoat, leaving all five of our cats looking and feeling better than they ever have before. In fact, they like it! It naturally gets more fur out of the ones with thick undercoats, but I noticed it pulling fur out of the undercoats of the ones with thinner coats who usually don't have a lot of hair that comes out on a brush.
This comb is very small and it is a bit of a chore to get a whole cat done in one sitting. I would recommend using a bigger brush first to get out as much loose fur as possible then finish grooming with this. I have not tried the FURminator mentioned, but would still recommend having this around, too. It doesn't need batteries or electricity, it's cheap, and it's especially handy on areas harder to reach with a bigger brush or tool, ie around the haunches and tail area which seem to accumulate a lot of fur.
Other drawbacks are that it works on some parts of their bodies better than others (the sides were hard to get anything out of, as opposed to their backs) and only being able to use it in one direction can get tricky, because these guys like to turn around in circles when I comb them, so I have to do some maneuvering to stay in the right position. Nice alternative to petting in front of the tv, anyway. :)
I got mine at Walgreens.
