(More customer reviews)I am horrible at 'guesstimating' sizes when it comes to LnLs, so when I got this, I was floored at how big it is! I figured I would use it for sugar or something, but I think this would be able to hold TWO bags, so I have made it my new snack chip container. I also used it at one point to hold THREE bags of egg noodles (the yolk-free kind from the grocery store). Currently, I have an unopened bag of Mission Tortilla Chips in there, to give you an idea of the size of this! I love it and plan to grab one more.

(More customer reviews)Air-tight, light-weight and easy to open and close securely. Holds enough dry dog food for two small pups for two weeks. A five pound sack of flour fits with enough room to scoop and measure flour without spilling. Top removes completely when it is time to replace contents. The stacking feature is a bonus.
**one of the latches broke off six months after purchase. Since the top is not taken off more often than every month or so, the cause seems to be quality rather than over usage.

(More customer reviews)When I ordered this I didn't study the photo well enough; it only has a clasp on one side, it has a hinge on the other side. The size & general construction are just what I was looking for, but for simplicity sake, I was expecting it to be like all the other bins out there; to have clasps on both ends.
I am a mechanical engineer and I design plastic components for a living. I'm not certain that the hinge on the one end of this container will hold up to daily use for the design life of this box. So far it's been just fine and it does have a reinforced stop on it to take stess off the vulnerable "axles" that it pivots on, but this is a large lid with a relatively small set of hinges. There is a lot of leverage to tranfer a huge load on those "axles" if it ever gets bumped when open. I hope I'm wrong, but I take great care to not apply any undue force on the lid when it's open.
Like I said, so far so good. Maybe I'm being too conservative; but I wouldn't have made this box with a hinge. The latch handle design is very sturdy, why compromise the robustness of the product to put a far less sturdy hinge on one end? I don't think the hinge makes it a better or more convenient product. It must've been the concept of someone in Marketing; certainly not from a pragmatic engineer. It introduces a vulnerability that doesn't need to be there.

(More customer reviews)Got these at a Target store nearby, rather than online. This is a really good value, as the same products (not even including the scoops) would cost over $28 if purchased separately.
The large 120 oz holds a 5 lb bag of flour, and I've been looking for a while for a convenient, attractive container for that. I will be stocking up on these to do my whole pantry.
The one-handed, one-motion snap lid is a life-saver, especially if you have kids in the house. If it's not quick and simple, it just doesn't get closed up at my house. With these containers, it only takes a quick smack and it's closed up tight. So convenient, even the 15 year old will do it (I can't tell you how many stale "reclosable bags" of stuff I've thrown away).
For me, these are awesome. I would highly recommend them.
