(More customer reviews)Our vet recommended an alternate cat food because our cat started throwing up every night. She said that most brands of animal food use corn products of various types and that many cats develop a sensitivity to it. We were using Purina and had also used IAMS.
We started reading the ingredients and found that every major brand and almost all minor brands use corn products of some sort. We did find a few that didn't and tried them but the cat just hated the stuff. Even the dog wouldn't touch them if a tidbit ended up on the floor.
Finally, we tried Petguard cat food and that worked. The cat doesn't throw up. The cat really likes it, and it doesn't contain a speck of corn. We also started buying Petguard dog food which the dog loves.
The only store in our area which carried it at was Target. Unfortunately, they have just stopped carrying the brand so now we are buying it off of Amazon.
