(More customer reviews)I've owned this feeder for almost a month and so far I like it a good deal. It is solidly made, and the lid locks which is a useful feature (keeps both my pet and my 3-year old from getting at the excess food!). It is a little tricky to program, which is why I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars. But if you read the instructions closely, and remember that it will always show you the time of the NEXT scheduled feeding (rather than the current time) you should be OK. Also the first time you program it check how much food it is actually dispensing. I set it for 1/4 cup but it actually serves 1/2 cup (probably due to the size of the cat food I'm using), so I had to adjust the number of meals accordingly. It does make a sort of strange whirring sound when delivering the food and it takes about a full minute to slowly put out the food, but it's quiet enough and seems to be dependable. I'd recommend it over the Petmate model, which I used before and which was cheaply made and kept breaking on me.
