(More customer reviews)Little did I know when I adopted a 60 pound shepherd-mix puppy (who has since grown to nearly 70 pounds) that he would eat so much! He's not a picky eater, but after trying two other brands of puppy food, including Nutro Max, I ultimately decided on this one.
First, it's formulated for large breed puppies -- you can do more research on it, but basically it's very important that their diet is specially balanced during development to avoid many health issues in their adult life. Also, it's natural without being crazy expensive. Sounds nice, right? Well, with dog food, the fewer additives there are the less there is for dogs to, um, expel. In other words, less for you to pick up in your yard. It's true. And isn't that pretty much enough?
Oh yes, and dogs love it. Not just mine -- his best friend, a chihuahua mix, and a puppy we recently had as a guest both love to steal this food. Luckily our boy's a sharer.
