Gave Scott's a try but all it did was make the grass grow high, did not do anything to fill in all the bare spots in my lawn. Bought a bag of Ringer Lawn Restore in Home Depot after reading the bag on how it worked and that it was safe to use around pets and people. Within the first 30 days grass started filling in areas it never grow before and in 3 years which is the time limit the bag said it would take to restore a badly neglected lawn it was back full with no bare spots. What makes this fertilizer different it isn't high in nitrogen force feeding your grass but reenergizes the soil which is what really feeds the lawn. I do mix a bag of Ironite and Epson Salts into the fertilizer bag then store in a water proof bucket with a lid, the fertilizer must be keep dry. The people who invented this now have a new line of products called Organica i was told by my local nursery worker but this will always remain my fertilizer of choice, safe for use around pets & children and works.
