(More customer reviews)First of all, I do not purchase things simply because I hear a commercial raving about them, which is exactly how I heard about Dinovite. My husband convinced me to try it for our 2-year-old-allergic-to-everything English Bulldog, even though I didn't believe half the claims the company made. And some of their claims were not proven for us, but I am still incredibly impressed with what results we did get.
Our dog has terrible skin issues and allergies, which have led to her constant itching and very expensive prescription drugs. Even with the medication, she was still horribly itchy, but once we started giving her the Dinovite she made a HUGE improvement. Seriously, no more redness, hardly any itching, no more bleeding sores from itching. It took a couple of weeks for the vitamins to really kick in, but once they did, she looked and acted so much better.
We did not see any change in her level of shedding (she sheds a lot) or her smell as the company claims. Due to her allergies she tends to give off a yeasty smell, especially in the face, and that has not gone away. Coat is super shiny though and her skin looks so much better.
The product did take a little getting used to for her, but the company puts instructions right on the container for how to ease the dogs into it. She's on the full dose now and eats her food just fine. We give 3/4 of a cup of high quality dry food, with the recommended dosage of Dinovite mixed with just a touch of water. Then we put about a tablespoon of wet food on top. She eats it all.
I could see some dogs not liking it right away, but the company has tips for that too.
When we place our order (about every 7 weeks or so), they also send samples of these AMAZING dried beef treats which both of my dogs absolutely love. I hope they keep that up!
I do think the product is a bit expensive for the amount you get.
