(More customer reviews)My vet prescribed Panacur for 5 days as a treatment for giardia for a 80 lb dog I am fostering. My own 75-80 lb. lab and 2 goldens got the protozoa parasites from the foster. The parasite is gone in all 4 dogs after one treatment. There are no side effects with Panacur such as seizures and liver failure as there can be with metrodinazole (which is only 60% effective ... it takes 2-3 treatments to work). I didn't have to worry or have blood work done ($80/dog) before giving the medicine. Had I bought Panacur at one of the big box pet stores, the whole treatment would have cost $378 for the 4 dogs. From Amazon, it cost $108 including the shipping. It was received within 2 days (Louisiana to California), even though I did not ask for fast delivery.
