While it doesn't totally eliminate the stains by his eyes, it does a good job of softening the eye discharge, which makes it easier to remove and to clean up the area around the eyes. The little brush that comes with the product is easy to use, too. I would buy this product again. If you have white or light color dogs needing cleaning around the eyes, this is worth a try.
